This is a very colorful piece cherry with some sap wood, but mostly mature wood and it has a mixture of grain patterns. It has been finished with walnut oil which has antiseptic, antibacterial, and antifungal properties. You can wash this piece with soap and water by hand. NO dishwasher!! You can also reapply walnut or mineral oil as needed.
